On Thursday, February 15th, 2007 The Coastal
Commission Held A Hearing In San Diego About
Parkside, LCPA (Local Program Coastal Amendment).
Here Is A Message From The President Of The Bolsa
Chica Land Trust About The Hearing:
Dear Bolsa Chica Supporters:
As The President Of The Bolsa Chica Land Trust, I
Would Like To Thank Each Of You Who Helped With The
Preparation For The Coastal Commission Meeting Or
Who Attended The Meeting. You May Think That The
Withdrawal Of The Parkside Application By The
Developer Was Not A Victory. I Want To Assure Each
Of You That It Certainly Was. As Of Wednesday, The
Land Trust Was Told That The Developer Had The Votes
To Get The Project Approved.
With Your Hard Work And Attendance At The Meeting,
The Developer Was Forced To Withdraw His Application
And Refile It With The Hope That It Will Come Before
The Commission Again In May. This Will Give Us Even
More Time To Either Defeat Or Reshape This Project
Into Something That We Can Support.
With Your Continued Support, We Will Prevail.
Thank You Again And Remember That We Have Just Begun
The Fight.
Gerald Chapnman, President Of The Bolsa Chica Land
Trust.
